D. R. Willson Land Company is a full-service Real Estate Brokerage and Appraisal Firm.  Our firm has several divisions to assist our clients with numerous real estate brokerage, appraisal, and consulting needs.  D. Robert Willson, MAI, CCIM, is the Broker with over 17 years of full-time experience with real estate in Okeechobee, Highlands, Glades, and Martin Counties.
 

Our brokerage services include commercial and industrial properties in and around Okeechobee, Florida.  We also specialize in agricultural and large development properties both in Okeechobee, as well as most of south central Florida.  Our clients expect maximum exposure for their properties.  We not only use standard print media, but also rely heavily on on-line advertising through our websites and commercial/agricultural property magazines.  Although most of our property is centrally located in Florida, many of our buyers are from other states, drawn here via our advertising campaigns.

Our appraisal services include all non-residential properties in Okeechobee County.  Currently, D. Robert Willson, MAI, CCIMis the only commercially designated appraiser in the County.  Our office includes sufficient support staff and affiliates, allowing our firm to perform quality appraisal services in a timely manner for both large-scale assignments, as well as for smaller individual assignments.  Our appraisal clients consist of lending institutions, attorneys, accountants, government agencies, private individuals and other real estate professionals.  We provide real estate appraisals and consulting services for mortgages, asset portfolio analysis, real estate tax assessment issues, and for use in litigation for condemnation, environmental, and property rights issues.

Our consulting division handles land use and zoning changes, special exceptions, alley closings, and development issues.  In addition, we are available for development consulting.

D. Robert Willson, MAI, CCIM Qualifications
  • D. Robert Willson, MAI, CCIMis the broker/owner of D. R. Willson Land Company.  He has over 17 years of appraisal experience in the south Florida area and appraises commercial, agricultural and residential development properties, as well as reviews all appraisal work produced by the firm.
  • Formal education includes an Associate of Arts degree in Business from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate from Florida State University.
  • Mr. Willson has a Florida Real Estate Brokers License, is a State-Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, and was a State Certified General Appraiser Instructor.
  • Mr. Willson is also active in the community.  He has been involved by serving the Okeechobee Board of Realtors – President 2000 - Board of Directors from 1997 through 2006; member of the Okeechobee Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and Kiwanis of Okeechobee.
